The client approached me, betrayed by cheap SEO “professionals” who left messy WP, spammy links, poor URL structure, and messy structured data. He was paying $500 per month to go backward.
Here is what I did to help him overcome these issues and get the long-expected results.
For this client, main goals were to increase the rankings for product and category pages which ultimatelly lead to revenue increase and more returning customers.
The client approached me in January 2022, and for the next six months, I’ve continuously performed SEO optimizations and audits.
This website had terrible issues with duplicated content. All the collection pages had /product-category/product category name and /product-category-name version, enabling none to rank.
There were no internal links on the category page level or product page level. I wrote additional copy to rank for more keywords and include internal links naturally.
Due to a limited budget, not much link-building was performed. However, I managed to organize some budget and acquire a couple of relevant backlinks to boost the most competitive terms.
Perform a ScreamingFrog crawl to extract all the missed alt text, long H1 titles, and short H1 titles and optimize the pages for proper keyword targeting.
Due to cheap services, cheap links were acquired to keep the website down. I made a disavow file to eliminate these toxic backlinks and let the website breathe.
The product pages didn’t have any schema describing them. I’ve also written FAQ schema for category pages to improve UX and rank for more keywords.
Rankings will not increase by itself. Let me craft a strategy so you can dominate the market.
